The Amazon Basin was started in August of 2000 as a Diablo II guild. They’ve since expanded into other games (Star Wars: Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and Hellgate: London) but still maintain the philosophy of creating an honest, cheat-free place for people to enjoy games and gaming.

The Basin’s collective forums/guilds produce approximately 22,000 posts a month while the number of registered users increases by about 250 people a month.

Most of The Basin’s guilds maintain an ‘inclusive’ environment wherein everyone is involved in in-game guild activities and forums. Those that exhibit the qualities The Basin looks for in members (honesty, friendliness, integrity) can request full membership into one of the guilds. This allows those with a vested interest in the well being of the community to help make a difference as well as become more involved in the decision making and management.
