Ok, in this guide I will be posting helpful hints on doing things that aren't obvious to the average gamer.
These hints include splitting stacks of scraps, getting rid of unwanted quest items, beating the RTS mission quickly and easily, and many more as I update it.
Splitting Stacks of Scraps
While this should have been a game feature from the start, right now there is in fact a semi-simple way of splitting your scrap piles. When in a station (Except Holborn and Templar Base) there will be a woman who has a green symbol over her head. When you click on here, you will see a list of items on the left side that you are able to craft.
Splitting stacks using her is very easy. Simply click on an item that requires scraps that you wish to split. Then drag your stack over to the crafting panel. The amount that you need will be left in the crafting panel, while the rest of your stack goes back to your inventory. You have just split the stack. You can drag the smaller stack now from the crafting panel and put it in a different spot in your inventory. Continue doing this until you have the desired stack.
Getting Rid of Unwanted Quest items
This one works similar to the splitting stacks. Take the unwanted quest item(s) and talk to the crafting woman again. Place the item in the crafting panel. Now using the splitting stacks technique, split stacks until your entire inventory is full. When you close the crafter, the unwanted item will drop to the ground, since you no longer have room in your inventory for it.
This goes faster if you take large items from your stash and place them in your inventory first.
Getting Swords for the Mini Game
Now, instead of putting a quest item in the crafter to be dropped on the ground, put in your sword. Arrange your inventory so that the sword can no longer fit, and close the crafter. Swords plop onto the ground. Arrange your inventory again to make room. Pick up the sword.
You can use the same sword over and over again as many times as you want to finish the minigame.
This method also works with mods, armours, guns.... anything you need to loot for the minigame.
Beating the RTS Mission Quickly.
This one is rather simple if you know what you are doing. Forget about using the soldiers. As you may have noticed, they do junk for damage. Instead, quickly click all the way to the end where the boss is walking around. Not just fire off an airstrike. It shouldn't take too many, I've gotten it on the first try before, but the airstrike should light the boss on fire. This will cause him to lose 5% health a second, all the way down until he dies. Then simply click on the portal that appears.
If your soldiers die, don't worry. Just click the terminal again and go blast him a few more times.
Specialize
I know when you start the game and look at the skill trees, you think: "These all look useless. I'd be doing more damage just firing my gun non-stop."
While this may be true in the beginning, in elite, by the end of normal and through nightmare you will need your skills to survive.
A good idea is to plan a basic skill path you want to take. Take marksman as an example, if you are planning on using the sniper stance a lot, you shouldn't be putting points into Rapid Fire (Unless of course you are working down the tree to access multishot, which is really nice when used with sniper-stance.) What you want to put points into is dead-eye and beacon. These skills will be extremely effective when used in sniper stance.
Lose your items recently?
It was most likely caused by the Guy Fawkes even blueprints. They should be fixing it with a patch while I type, but if not you CAN get your items back! Simpy delete every duplicate blueprint you have from the Guy Fawkes event. For whatever reason, these are causing your items to disapear. After you delete them, make sure there is nothing in your equipment/stash slot that used to hold your precious item. When you relog, your items should be back.
I will be adding more tips and hints to this thread as time goes on.
