what am i doing wrong

i've got a level 14 evoker and it just seems that i'm extremely underpowered and i can't stop dying. i pumped stam until i think it was level 5, and now i've been doing a 4:1 willpower:stam ratio. i can't remember the amount of times i died when i was in the mind of 3:14. i honestly don't know what to do, i am trying hard to not quit this game.

i've got 3 points in fire 3 in spectral bolt and 3 in the next spectral down. atm i'm filling in dual focus. my stats are attached.

couple questions...

how am i supposed to fight those orbiles? 3 seconds in my guys all lit up and life is draining from me like crazy.

the splash gun..am i supposed to use that to drain their shield and then open up on em with a focus weapon? sometimes it doesn't look like it does anything and then other times it works extremely well.

should i primarily be using focus weapons over my spells?

I am not level 14 yet so can't help you there. But what I do know is that you should primarily use spells as an evoker to do damage. Using the focus device to shoot does some damage but is generally low.

don't give up, evokers get really good at around 15
lash is good on orbiles i think you said you had it? get some shield penetration mods and you should kill them pretty quick
i'd stop putting points in dual focus
stats i think look fine i dont think they're your problem but the way you're playing or the skills your using might be
i'd stop what you're doing right now and either pick staying long range using lash and then some longer range aoe skills (lightning field is good at your level or flameshards at 15)
or get broms curse and venom armor when you turn 15
hang in there it gets better at 15 and it gets great at 20

[Question]

Do not put more than one point into dual focus. I am level 22 and i have 130+ willpower and my will usage is nowhere near that. Drop the pointless gun, dual wield focus items. You probably need better items to solo 314. But you will probably need to restart as you have far too many points in dual focus from what it sounds like.
