So, basically, my girlfriend and I (28 and 22, respectively) are planning to make a guild, which will be hosted over at vikingrpg.com (currently sitting un-used), aimed at "mature" players. Sure, if you're 14 and mature as hell we'll take you on, but the general idea is that older people have different restraints, it's work not school, kids not "Mum said stop playing" and the like. Therefore, it makes sense for older players to team together. From a gameplay perspective, the guild will be aimed at medium-usage players, not only "one day a month" gamers, but hardly a "18 hour raid" guild either... As for the viking theme, we'll work on a back story which will probably be based on scandinavians living in london at the time of the invasion teaming together... My girlfriend's Norwegian so there'll be an element of truth there...:p

She suggested i throw a post up here to see what sort of interest the idea could generate... So the balls in your court guys and gals.

Sounds like a nice idea. I don't know if I'm going to join any guilds, but if I was, this sounds like one I'd consider trying to join. :]

Sounds fun, I'm definately interested. I got a couple of friends who'll most likely also start playing HGL. We're in our 30s and live in Stockholm.

Oi, i may very well be interested. I guess i'm a bit on the young side (18 ), but when i look back on my years of online gaming, i've mostly played with people in the 20-45 range (I belive the oldest guy was in his early sixties, i thought he was joking at first, but then one day he was overjoyed of becoming a great grandfather).

That's fine... There's a big difference between "kids" and "young"... If you're used to playign with older players, i dare say you'll be in the "mature young gamer" category.

Rather you than a 40 year old "kid" gamer any day:-p

This sound interesting, but what form of play are you aiming for?
Anyway I'm interested being from Sweden and 21 years old.
So if I don't join, good luck :)

Probably a more casual form than some... More a "guild there incase you're stuck" sort of thing, rather than heavily leaning on each other all the time.

Sounds good. Altough I'm still pretty confused about how the guild-setting in the game will work. Did they ever say how many people would be allowed in raids?:0
Anyway I'll keep your web-page bookmarked.
