So I watch a lot of cartoons. I'm also kinda ADD and when something REALLY funny happens I like to watch it over and over at least a couple times to fill up my laugh quota (ever seen Emeror's New Groove? The Part where the villain goes rolling down the hill in a wheel barrel was watched at least half a dozen times before I couldn't breathe).

Anyway, I noticed that when you monkey around with fastforwarding or rewinding too much the player locks up (I use WMplayer and Zoom Player... this also happens to me on VLC incidentally). Normally this is no big deal... just a Ctrl+Alt+Del, select the process, then end it and volia! back to your cartoon.

Not so with my computer. In fact, when I click the End Process button the item doesn't even remove it self from the list. Ditto when I try to End Process Tree.

This means I have to reboot my machine before I can open a new instance of my player. Which is REALLY REALLY irritating.

Any thoughts?

I am by no means an expert on this but you might as well try rebooting explorer, in my experience it almost always does the same thing as a reboot in 1/10th the time.
