Cabalist weapons

Hey from the screenshots , I noticed that they're all carrying some kind of gun of some sort. I thought Cabalists would carry typical magic user weapons like staves or something....

I thought they were described as spell delivery items more than guns for the cabalist

Guns are effectively spell delivery items for the Hunter classes.

Cabalists have both guns and focus items. Both fire in a ranged fashion. The focus items would be the spell delivery system for this faction.

If a cabalist is using a gun, is your spell damage based off of the gun like it is from a focus weapon?

To confirm no guns do not effect Cabalist spell damage.

This has probably been asked before, but is there any benefit at all to Summoners by using a Focus Device and a Gun?

I guess casting a spell and shooting at the same time? Since I doubt you can cast 2 different spells at the same time using 2 Focus Devices. But then again I didn't play the game, so I'm not sure.

Well there is one spell that Summoners have that requires a focus item (drain life.) Other than that though not really.
