Site Speed

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but recently the site has been taking forever to load. 5-6 seconds to switch forums and to enter threads. Its rather annoying. All other sites are working fine for me.

Not me. It could just be an ISP issue.

I've got no problems here too. Perhaps you got too much running in the background of your system?

i don't think thats the problem as nearly every other site runs well. And i have not to shabby computer/internet.

It's probably just a router somewhere along the line that's not connecting you to the fastest line to our site.

Actually sgtpepper.. the last few days it has loaded VERY slow for me.. like links to threads could take quite a few seconds to load..

but at the same time.. sometimes it is warp speed.. usually it has been slow... Like right now its sluggish for me 0.o yet everywhere else I go is warp speed and I already tested packetloss and received none from Hellgateguru.com and my ping times were under 40ms.. 0.o It probably is a routing issue though

While connection to the site is fine maybe the site back to us is taking a different route (very common) or the ISP is simply filtering it for a moment or two...


Edit: nevermind.. this post took over a minute to register on the site for me x.x and surfing has suddenly become sluggish to the point where it is nearly 30 secs to load a thread... 0.o i'm still pinging very low times to the site though..weird

Nope.. optimum online.. speed test shows Download 13.2 Mb/s and Upload at 1.91 Mb/s

:P right now Guru is back to being uber speed but about 20 mins ago it was VERY slow.. I think there is a congested node or two on the return trip from the server... sometimes I will ping 40-50 and once in a while i get a 100+ ping... I wouldn't worry about it.. If you find that the forum is constantly giving you page not found errors or timeouts :) then it is time to panic

I get a fairly high ping too now. It's been slow for me too the past few days, although the difference isn't extreme, atleast it can't be noticed when I use this lappy. : P
