Notice when HG:L was up at 21K, WoW was 333K. Now HG:L is 9K and WoW is at 390K. Connection?

...saw D2 still being played by like 10.000 people every day! I tried to play it again a year ago or so, but the graphics were just too much for me... In my memory it was a small graphic jewel, and it was pretty horrible to look at after some years.... Still; nice to see such an old game still being alive...

i think things are slowing down a bit now , but you should notice a huge increase with patch 1.0

and here is something funny , measured in hours perday

Hellgate London 9,376

Solitaire 6,723

Solitare! either people are running X-fire at work, or there is something wrong with society. There are no action missiles in Solitare, no item hunts, no end game, no scantily clad female models, and no blood, with this taken in to account Solitare should be the worst game of all time yet people are still playing it in droves

Guys I'm still trying to understand why some of you are trying to compare this game to MMO's. This is not an MMO. D2 was not an MMO. Of course you wont have 50k people on this game everyday. I REALLY hope that isnt what some of you were thinking....

While this game is great and I love it, I would not expect HUGE numbers on at a time.

off-topic ?

well... HG:L was in the top 20 in november, but disappeared from it in december, the only way to find HG:L is in the MMO chart.

Now, if you want to whine about "HG:L isn't a MMO", send an email to Xfire.

Yeah, it's not so much about the fact of if it's an MMO or not, but the fact that the numbers more than halved in one month...

Even non MMO games don't usually see that sort of drop rate so soon... unless they start off with ridiculously high numbers and only have a SP mode or something like that...

So for HGL to capture that market back, things like the ongoing content are going to have to be groundbreaking or the numbers will continue to dwindle around the mark we are seeing now, which are bascially all the people who already like the game...

The problem for FSS is getting people who didn't like the game from the start to actually change their minds on it...

yeah... and after seeing the Stonehenge video, FSS won't win easily...
