Ok sorry, this is my first post and I only just moved from guild wars to HGL after 2 years. I like the game alot, but I've noticed we cant undo or move skill points we allicate to skills/spells.
Is there a plan to add a facility to do this? I havent found any existing threads about this or evidence ingame that we can do this.
I find it odd we cant because Mythos offered that facility by making you pay 1G to reset your points. Now Mythos was the test-bed for hellgate so why doesnt hellgate include that option?
It seems a major thing to leave out, because i have 2 chars now and it would be nice to change what I chose for the odd skill!
Also where do I post to ask why hellgate keeps freezing and killing my video driver and causing the BSOD? Its done it about 3 times today and its not good since my machine is top spec.

Currenlty it appears than when patch 1.0/stonehenge go live all subs and non-sub Evokers and Guardians will get a 1 use stat resetter because of strong changes to skills. Other classes of non-sub seem to be shit out of luck so far...

Well that just sucks.... I really dont get why there are so many better things in mythos which dont seem to have been implimented into hellgate.
The ability to pay to reset skill points being one of them, and better elemental animations for fire attacks being another. I was really disapointed with the envoker class thinking it would be similar to an elemental from GWs and similar to the elemental class in mythos (atleast).
Boy was I disapointed!
Im really starting to enjoy this game though and even though im only lvl8, the prospect of my skill choices being locked really puts me off continuing, because ill have to make a new char each time.
As for the spec of my machine... *erm...*
Nvidia 8800 graphics of some sort (the second best I think).
4gb memory and 2.somet quad core processing.
there really isnt any reason why it shouldnt be able to handle it. It handled crysis beautifully and unreal 3 perfectly all at either top settings or near top!
Im gonna check to see if there are any video driver updates, but hellgate isnt that demanding a game.

To answer you question why there are things in mythos and not in hellgate....THEY ARE TWO DIFERENT GAMEs, i know mythos was a testr for hgl servers but they still are diferent games and Mythos isnt made by the mainstream fss its done by fss seattle

Well obviously its a different game, but I just expected all the mechanics of the game such as paying to reset skill points to be tests for HGL. I was hardly expecting HGL to be cartoony and bright colours.

Crysis is nothing more than an elaborate tech demo. The game itself is weaksauce.

I haave to agree there, although I wasnt actually all that impressed by the supposedly great visuals. The only thing which seemed impressive to me were the water effects.
The facial animations were as good as half lie 2, the body animations as good as gears of war and the surroundings just had some very nice texturs.
Granted this was only the demo, but it may look nice but i found myself getting bored very fast. But i dont love FPS most of the time.

If you're interested, spearthrower and I had a debate about this a while back, and while I'm still convinced a perma respec option a la Mythos would give more than it would take, he raised some very valid points as to why FSS may not want to implement such a system in HG:L.
