Merry Christmas, London
9.30am, 25th Dec 2038
Fragarto Smith waked up in a daze to scuffling and incoherent mumblings at his door. The sound was unmistakable. Zombies where at his door steps! Fragarto survival instincts kicked in when he started to spy on the number of zombies at his doorstep by peering though the keyhole. What he saw shocked him totally. He saw 3 rows of zombies lining up in very straight rows as though in formation.

Something of this situation was just not right. No, not something, but everything of this situation. First of all, what are the zombies doing in a safe zone he was living in? Secondly, zombies are not known to stay in formation of rows. He peered harder though the rusty. He noticed flashes of red clothing hanging around the zombies’ heads. He recognized them as Christmas hats. A zombie noticed him in the front row pointed at the key hole and shouted a cue to the rest and the zombies burst into a song:
Deck the Gates
By the “Christmas Zombies”
Deck London with boughs of holly
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
'Tis the season to be jolly
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Don we now our swords of justice
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Troll the ancient Healing prayer
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
See the blazing drone before us.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Strike the harp and summon minions.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Cover me the master sniper.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
While I soak in venom armor.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Fast away the old patch passes.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga

heedless of the bugs and crashes.
-Gra-ga-ga-ga-ga, ga-ga-ga-ga
Fragarto Smith listened in shock and awe. Nothing in the training manual had prepared him for this “onslaught” on the mind. However, the zombies somehow do not look hostile as one of them knocked on his door meekly. Fragarto armed an explosive grenade and he opened his door cautiously, ready to take evasive measures. As soon as the door opened, the zombies stucked out their hands, as though expecting Fragarto to give them something.
Fragarto’s memories of the good ole’ Christmas days before the invasion flooded to him. Christmas Carolling. Something that was lost during the chaos of the demon invasion. Fragarto disarmed his grenade and grabbed some Palladium to reward the zombie carollers. He opened the door wide and put a Palladium coin to each of the zombie’s outstretched hand.
The zombies rejoiced on their new found treasure and raised the Palladium Coins above their heads. However, smoke started appearing on the hand the zombies where holding the coin. The zombies yelped in pain and dropped the coin. Totally confused they dropped the coin and scampered away in terror.

Fragarto stood at his doorsteps in bewilderment. He had totally forgotten the Palladium Coins was the blessed and given to him by a Templar in the high order for his service rendered to them the night before. He picked up the Palladium coins and closed his door.
Like a concussive crash, a fact just hit Fragarto. IT IS CHRISTMAS DAY! He just waked up and was so distracted by the current bleakness of London to actually keep track of festive seasons. He decided to drop by to Charing Cross Station to hunt for some Christmas presents for his party members. He donned his body armour, grabbed his 25mm Rifle with piercing rounds and left his house to take the stroll down.
Even with London at this desolated state, it looked beautiful with all the fires extinguished and ruins covered with in pure white snow. It didn’t take too long for him to reach Charing Cross Station. The atmosphere there was different from the usual days. Everyone in the station were shaking hands and exchanging gifts. All the NPC Staff of the station were fully decked in Christmas suits and doing last minute decorations of putting up Christmas trees and tearing down the awful looking posters and putting up Christmas themed once.
This feels good. There’s a feeling of warmness flowed though his body as all this caring and sharing continued. He had to do something to contribute to this atmosphere. He dropped by to Holloway’s shop, his favourite merchant to look for presents.
Holloway’s shop was unmistakable. There was a banner on a shop saying, “Is that a big gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” The shop was bursting with people queuing to buy presents. She was dressed in a form fitting Santa girl costume with her signature mini skirt. It seems that she have a special promotion going on.

She had roped in Bill Roper, a celebrity Guardian in his Sleigh pulled by Stalkers, and Angelace, a summoner to help give away free Christmas dye kit modules to the community. The dye kit module changes the wearer’s armour to a nice shade of Christmas red and green.
“Merry Christmas London!” Fragarto thought to himself as he disappeared into the crowd of Christmas shoppers.
