How many people do you think will be signed up to this forum, one month after the release of Hellgate:London.

I say 250.

Woah. I hope so. How many classes will we see in the game?

I'm guessing 5.

5 classes sounds about normal, im thinking there might be class mixtures along with the main classes.

That'd be very interesting to see. It'd be nice if each of the classes were 'hybrids' in some way, rather than cookie cutter characters.

I think you're pretty close to it Sol. I think there will be ' specialization ' lines within each class that allow for the hybrid utility and a blending of traditional classes.

Only obvious example were the differences in the fighting tactics of the templar in the video. Ultra-tank heavy artillary guy & the faster more agile ninja-chick. Even though there is most likely another class that is fast, agile, and stealthy.

Guess: Will there be a 'magical' class like the traditional mage or priest ?

Im thinking along the lines of someone who can control monsters for a period of time. But only use defensive spells.

I wonder how the developers will be able to pull off the chick's acrobatic style in-game. It would seem that it would be difficult to throw that in for a first person perspective. I guess they could have the camera pull out to a third perspective when doing acrobatics though.

As for the members I would hope that we would have more than that. I mean the game is still quite a ways from coming out and we've had about 20 people join in the last two weeks. Plus, many threads are getting hundreds of views and those are not all from members, there are plenty of guests that are reading the forum but are reluctant upon joining so hopefully they will decide to join eventually.

Not all at once, I hope. It'd be like getting slashdotted on a daily basis.

250? 1000? At the rate we're going I think we'll exceed those numbers. ;)

i think the most we;ll have is.....wait how many do we have now?

if we have like 120 active memvers, then we will have like 180 active members right before the game comes out

then it will drop to like 80 active members, people will just play hellgatelondon and not talk on forums as much

we need to spam diablo2 channels and warcraft 3 for people to check out hellgate lonond

maybe show a screenshot to them
that will get them to see it
then tell them to check out hellgateguru, then tell otehrs so it will grow at an exponential rate

It's okay to talk about the game and spread the word to other potentially interested gamers, but please, for the love of God or whatever deity you pray to, don't be a pest and spam the game, or our website. It won't do anyone any good.

I've been spreading the game like mad. My friend Sieg020 (doesn't post on the forum but he's the guy I talk about most of the time ask "my friend).. is 100% getting it.. In fact he wants to try out the beta but hasn't had the time to post on forums. My other friend Wayne.. he's definatly gonna get it as he is a giant Diablo fan. I've even coverted some people on AIM that I RP with to get the game :P

HG:L FOREVER!

*offtopic rant!*
btw.. TQ is f'ing retarded now since v1.20 they did a good job and all, but D2 is so much better.. There isn't a sense of grinding and being overpowered by mobs of just 4-5 enemies In D2 you could just wander around w/o hunting for loot and still hack your way to Hell difficulty w/o many deaths.. just alot of grinding. It is much more balanced for longevity where TQ is instant grinding.. just pisses me off..

I'm trying to get everyone at school to play it. Litterally...walking up to random people I've never seen and I just start telling them about HG:L. 4 out of 5 times they ignore me the first time.

Im studying to be a high school IT teacher, and I've been showing the HGL trailers to some of my students - many of which did not know about the game.

They do know now, and they are looking forward to it in a big way :D

@Dark(satanlover)saber

You, a future shaper of young and impressionable minds, are actually exposing this filth to the innocents and corrupting them by showing them a farce constructed by misshaping the Dogma and the teachings of the Catholic Church and, indeed, any good christian church ? Shame on you !

You're lucky Thompson can't get his scrawny, bony, fingers around your tender neck.

just kidding.

I'd start a Hellgate : Romania site, but I know that most Romanians are not into participating in discussions about a single game and placing enormous hopes in it and then risk being let down in the cruellest manner. They preffer to not get so involved and then just suck it up and show a brave face when it all goes pair-shaped.

Oh, and just to show you that the game is well known here, a lot of friends of mine whom I've annoyed incessantly with the game have said that you can't go into a game store without seeing some trailer running or some ad about the game. There are a lot of people who are screaming that this will be their Diablo 3.
