I have never seen any piece of armor at all with the "prosperous" property on it. Most I've seen is "fortunate" (around +15 Luck) but only on boots and gloves. Does any SPer out there actually find those sick +60 Luck in armor, and most importantly in parts other than gloves and boots?

Btw, I'm playing retail version here.

Launcher keeps on getting errors whenever I try to update it. Waiting for 0.7, to get it from FTP.

in 1.43 with my summoner i have been finding loads of +luck around +40 to +60, currently have a hat(or something) that does +64... some other characters don't really find any.

I guess it must be retail version's fault, as what I said in the first post goes for all my characters (about 5 or 6).

Oddly, I have not seen any +luck gear in 1.43.

I'm unlucky I guess.

Im running version 1.43 as well. Does wearing that gear actually work? Is it really worth it? Or is it another victim of the "BAD RELEASE" syndrome. I have no problem finding that gear at all.

From what I heard it does make a difference.

I'm mostly interested in it, to finally get some weapons with all mod slots, it's been a real pain to find suitable magical ones with max slots.

1.43 here too, and I frequently see +X Luck on all kinds of items.

Although just speaking out of personal experience, Luck does make a difference. My old Marksman had a total of about >300. I rarely saw white items at all, and legendaries were substantially more frequent.

1.12 (Retail) here and I have rarely seen any +luck - and when I do it's less than 10 generally.

It's in the SP/MP Differences thread with the 2 versions! ;)

Found this in the transcripts from the IRC thingy with FSS.

[[SF]Ayana]: There has been a lot of discussion and arguments on how 'luck' works. Can you give us a official statement on how 'luck' works in HG:L. Thank you.
[Erich Schaefer]: Luck is a bit of a mystery even to me. It increases the chances that random drops will be of higher quality. I do know that, and it does work. But when we looked into the system it seems overly complex and scary. It’s due for an overhaul soon.

Yes, +Luck are not uncommon in 1.43, and yes, it does work. My ~200 luck MM finds way more blue/orange stuff than no +luck Templar.

From my experience it's around +100 you can start seeing a diffrence.

I've updated the game, slapped +189 Luck on my MM and don't seem to be finding better stuff. The only thing I could say is that green items seem to be dropping more frequently from normal monsters, but that's about it.

Using a trainer on my test character, I equiped every items with a +luck mod and found much more legendaries and "blues" (name escapes me right now) after a Shulgoth run in NORMAL. It seems to work but the required amount is high, hence the challange I guess. I also noticed that the higher level the item the less likely the luck mod will spawn on any given item. You can literally buy luck early on.

MP Sydonai Elite Mode

I find +luck all the time. I have a set of rare/legendary armour with +150ish luck spread over. I found most of that at lvls 10-15.

Currently level 26 and I'm not seeing as much, but they still drop every couple of levels or so.

Found a +60 prosperous shield at crafter today.

Luck doesn't come as often later on for the same reason that it is extremely easy to find weapons with "+x% increased damage" properties on begginer items (i.e. below level 10), than finding it on higher level ones: as you level up, more properties become available to your character (a fitting expression would be that as you advance in levels, you "unlock" more properties), which means, the probability of rolling those that are widely available in the beggining, becomes smaller.
