Anyone esle keep finding Kalika's Catharsis? The unique mind control weapon. I have found it about 2 dozen times now. Is the drop system bugged too? I have found maybe 6 other uniques aside from it. All pretty useless. Remember D2? Those were neat uniques. Also anyone find the Bloodmoon? I know its a level but, anything interesting about it? Or just another tileset? Im level 39 BTW. Wish the drops were better... :-(

Yes I have found that and other mind control uniques.
The drop system is fine.
Yes, I remember D2 - I was only playing it a month or so ago! ;)
In SP, it's very easy to find Bloodmoon.
Bloodmoon is for an achievement - if you have SP version 1.43.
If you are 39, I am sure you've already seen Bloodmoon.
/totally agrees with b4KF!я3

Just wonder, is it unique item better than legendary one?
And on what char level that unique items will start to drop?

Really, there's very little rhyme or reason with item categories at the moment.
Legendaries so often outclass Uniques.... and blues and often even greens can be better for your build depending on the mods.
Often, the Legendary item will have some +skill you dont need, or a useless mod which really adds to the feed requirement.
Generally, I mostly look out for Legendary weapons for the higher damage, irrelevent of the mods on them... but armour, I pay closer attention to the mods and whether they fit my build.
Of course, you could get lucky and hit perfect mods on a perfect item, but it's vanishinly rare.

Lol, so true. And then you find it and you don't have the feed for it. :(

I've found quite a lot of Uniques in SP. I'd probably estimate it to about 20 different Uniques, or around that number. Although, I believe there is something wierd with the loot-system in this game, since 9 out of every 10 Uniques that spawn either from a drop of at a Crafter, are Cabalist Puppetmasters. And I'm playing a Marksman.
Although, Uniques in HGL aren't like Uniques in D2 with completely fixed modifiers, but varying stats. The only things that are fixed on Uniques in HGL are:
1) Item name and type (duh)
2) Type of damage, and possible effect-strengths
3) Item-level
The actual modifiers are random, just like on any legendary piece of gear. As for Unique armor, I think onlt the name is fixed, and it can spawn as any type of armor. Any type as in boots = boots only, but any kind of boots attached to the class.

I've scored a wide range of uniques, but then I've played through the game in SP at least 8 times now with a variety of classes.
I can definitely agree with one core point: the majority of them are mind control weapons! ;)
Still, I've had me some good luck with others! My 41 Gun Guardian is still using a unique he found at level 15 - I'd swap it out if I could find anything better (i.e. a fire based, grenade weapon)

Think this is SP centric problem, in MP you get a wide range and to correct one thing, most uniques have certain set abilities, its just the ranges of those abilities which difffer.
Like Sydonias thorax, it always has +Armour and Shields, +att +all elemental defenses

In SP 1.43 the drop system defineatly seems biased towards mind control weapons. They sure drop A LOT, and are very often craftable (so often it once led me to believe they are only unique item craftable in SP...). Funny thing is normal mind-control weapons don't drop all that often (and I'm not sure if I've ever seen a green/blue/orange one). Looks like only unique and mundane versions exist.
I believe something is buggy here.
BTW, I never found Blood Moon.

Ah, I didn't know that, even though I've had it dropped a couple of times, and noticed it always had those things. I'll unpack my old retired Marksman and check his Sydonai-armors; he had one dropped from Sydonai himself, and then another in the beginning of Nightmare from a chest, and I seem to recall that they had quite different modifiers. One of them did have the above mentioned stats. I'll unpack and check.
EDIT: Btw, the Bloodmoon achievement is in my list of achievements, but I've never found it. Running 1.43.etc.

Yeah, these differences are very apparent:
In my version which is retail (1.12) I have met Bloodmoon every single character and a specific point in the story progression every single time.... but as there are no Achievements in this version it doesn't have any purpose! :(
The Unique mind control weapons do drop more frequently here too, but I have definitely seen other qualities of them aside from Unique.

Haha, I've had that happening too, but only with two of the same mind-controllers, never three. Pretty obvious it's somewhat broken, heh. ;)
