Here's a news bit for you lonely souls:
http://forums.hellgatelondon.com/showthread.php?t=57746
Imminent. Precipitous. Really really soon.
Just met with Bill Roper to ask about the patch and got some nice tidbits to share with our eager "SPers" here on the boards.
1) As mentioned in last week's devchat, this patch will match the multiplayer 0.6 patch.
2) Key fixes include important skill adjustments, quest bugs squashed, and memory leak tweaks.
3) The single player patch has CLEARED QA and is in a final stage of testing.
4) The patch will be launched in a matter of days.
Also, as a bonus tidbit, I can share that the single player update following this one will encompass both the 0.7 and Stonehenge updates from multiplayer.

Not bad; but wasn't stonehenge supposed to be subscribers only? Or :) is FSS once again giving everyone the supposed "subscriber only" content.
Hehe.. If so I'm curious howlong it will tkae before FSS just says subscribing is optional and is more of a donation :)
Still; nice to see those SP folks can get a quality patch in

OK, ignore that...

I'm glad they're catching up.
The stonehenge available for all must mean they've got something great lined-up to justify the sub fees....

Great to hear. Thanks for posting this for those of us who can't access the official forums.
I'm a bit concerned that "fixed Elite mode" wasn't listed in those "nice tidbits", but I guess we'll find out if it is soon enough.

Please read the thread to get your questions answered correctly:
First up, subscriber content does not appear in single player. That means there won't be any subscription-only areas in single player.
Second, all of the skill balances, memory usage adjustments, interface tweaks, and item changes that are part of the 0.7 and Stonehenge content updates will be applied to single player in the next single player update (not the one coming up in a few days).

Bill Roper is the CEO and one of the founders of Flagship Studios, so I don't think he can be fired.

Hehe, you havn't played many games then lonethar. I've seen 10x worse launches
You want to fire someone.. Fire the EVEonline programmers and testers. How the HELL!!!! do you launch a patch which overwrites the boot.ini file in windows XP and fail to catchthat in testing.
I mean what? Did they test it on win 2000 and Vista.. failing to test on XP or something?? Better yet.. that was a "giant" hint tht they don't test their patches :P

While it is good news on one hand.... as Amarra said - there's a really big concern there that there's no mention at all of Elite mode being fixed.
Also the same as Amarra, I can't log into any FSS site to try and confirm about this (grrr) so if anyone would be kind enough to let us know, that'd be great! ;)

Yes pleas post the complete message from the FSS boards - I only have a EU account, and no serial at work, so I can't create a US login.

Good to hear that. Still, I'd like it if they gave us some official announcement beforehand. Come on, MP'ers now at least a week in advance if their patch is coming...
Or perhaps it means we still have to wait longer then that.
Yes pleas post the complete message from the FSS boards (...)
I second that.
