Build for a new player.

I dont have HGL yet but i am hoping to get it this christmas. Ive been going through the forums but I have yet to decide on any builds that would be good for my first character. Im open to any ideas.

all classes are viable. i started out with an evoker and had tons of fun. but guardian seems to be the safest? bet if you are scared of dying :-P

All depends on the play style you prefer

Hunters are all about ranged damage, keeping range and kiting.
Cabalists are ranged mainly too but with more spectacular skills.
Templars are pure melee.

Best idea first is to pick a style you like best
