Tomorrow, August 4, will be marked as the first Fansite Admin Chat Event. Here are the details by Kokeeno of Flagship Follower (http://flagshipfollower.com/) and Cronus of Project Hellgate (http://projecthellgate.com/)
Just to clear things up, here's a little information on what the chat is going to be about, which is to say, it's not going to be a public interview with Q&A to any of the developers. We'll be taking questions, but the administrators (e.g. us) will be the ones discussing the questions.
Here's Kokeeno's word:
I sincerely apologize if we didn't make the specifics of the event clear. Alot of it Cronus and I hashed out in the IRC channel and some of it may not have made it onto the forums. Our original intention was to make it public for anyone to view but only have the fansite admins talking along with your representatives. When the firewall issue came up and we switched the location to a PHP webchat, we didn't think that making it public was a good idea because of the lack of admin controls but when IRC was confirmed to work for everyone, we knew that we could go with our original idea. The IRC channel would be moderated so no one can speak but people that we give a voice to.
Now, regarding your participation, one of the things we don't want to happen is have it turn into a Q&A with you guys (Flagship Studios) in the hotseat. The administrators are going to discuss various ideas having to do with the main topic. We wanted you guys to be present in order to clear up some things we are wrong about and chime in if you have anything you want to add to the discussion. You do not have to feel obligated to reveal anything or answer any questions. We will not be directly asking you questions from the public if you're not ready to do so. These questions will be discussed by the fansite admins. Of course, if you are willing to answer some questions, we will take some time to get questions from the public. We'd put all the questions through the admins first so that we wouldn't get ridiculous questions like "What is Hellgate: London?"
See you guys there. It's on the same server as our very own #hellgatelondon channel.
