This damn WASD + keyboard

I played D2 etc. and enjoyed it (over 600 hours +++++) immensilely. This game is not quite as enjoyable or addictive yet. However, I keep playing and can't seem to stop playing this game. So, BS, aside.....yea I like this game and with up coming patching etc. I'm in. Early releases are discusting but a fact of economic life. I rotate between NWN2 and HGL. Oh yea....this WASD shit....I hate it with a passion....however I will live to live with it.

The standardization of WASD+Mouse in a lot of games is one of the greatest events in PC gaming history.

I mean, it fits just perfectly. You've got all the commonly used numbers just above your left hand, as well as R which is often "Reload", and E with is often "Use". And you can have your thumb resting on Space for easy jumping, as well as easy access to CTRL, SHIFT and TAB.

What's not to like?

I think there's a key config in the game for a reason. Change it to something else... like the arrow keys.

Try the Nostromo N52 gamepad out. It has a thumb pad that can be used when it is mapped to WASD. It works great for me. But yeah, keyboard and mouse > than console gamepads.

I'd have to say I like both WASD+Mouse/Console controller. Quite good at both styles, but I have to say it is easier to play games with aiming with a mouse.

I am a gadget freak, i am also a saitek fanboi. The pad from saitek is awesome, don't use it myself though cause nothing beats the cyborg set xP
