1. Q.Will there be a "Character name / Guild name Policy" or can you keep your name once you have been allowed to create this name ingame?
A.We don't know this yet. Naming policies will come much later into development.
2. Q. Will payers be allowed to watch each others equipment without the other ones permission? (For example in WoW as an orc you can see all hordes members equipment when you klick on them, but in Diablo 2 the other player has to show his equipment clearly in the trade window)
A.We don't know this either. This is the sort of thing that gets determined through extensive play testing. As such, it could change 100 million times between now and launch. So it's just impossible for me to tell you exactly how it will work out.

Q.Cheaters can ruin a whole game. So what will Flagship do to avoid cheating?
A.Everything humanly possible. We've had years of cheating experience from our Diablo franchise at Blizzard and we've learned much, but I have no specific details to offer you at present.

Right now the plan is to let you party up with whomever the hell you want, though we'll surely have specific suites of content lined up for specific classes and levels of characters. Really, our multiplayer game will be super accommodating. I really think you'll all be very happy with how many different ways it can be enjoyed... Assuming all goes according to plan and the Earth doesn't explode, anyway.

I don't really know how high level multiplayer action is going to work. None of that is even done yet. Our instances (anywhere you can fight monsters) are all randomized and catered to your character's skill level. Please try and keep that in mind. So, there's no real resetting of dungeons or anything like that. The game just keeps getting harder...forever. Or, close enough to it in gaming terms that it doesn't really matter.

1. Hellgate: London is an action-RPG with a fully developed singleplayer mode and multiple online modes. Our online modes vary, too. Some will be comparable to Diablo (your typical 2 to 32-player instanced experience or whatever), while another may include more MMO-like functionality and will thus be comparable to those sorts of games (Guild Wars and whatnot).
We will definitely have some form of free online multiplayer. However, we have not yet figured out how we're going to fund the ongoing operation of our MMO-like game... It could conceivably cost something. It could revolve around micro-purchases. It could focus on expansions and episodic content. It could be anything.
2. Q. is it possible to join an instance without being in this group which is already in those instance?
A. No. Not right now. You can join an instance that your party has already entered and meet up with them, but you must be a member of that group to accomplish this. It is not possible to wander into an instance and see people already there.
1. Q. can we have 2*groups in 1 Instance or do we always need to go back to our "station" and form a team to start with all players an instance?
A. I'm not sure how this will work. All I know is that characters must be members of a group to venture into an instance together. Whether groups themselves can be attached to other groups is unknown. I am also unclear how we will handle adding users to a group once it has already left a town and entered an instance.
3. Friendly fire is not possible since so many of our weapons auto-lock and do outrageous splash damage.
4. Yes, difficulty levels in instances depend both on the number of players and on the level of the participating players. Please note that I have not, until now, heard of this specific 40-player instance, however.
5. Right now you get individual XP. And there is currently no system to share items. Both features are subject to change.
6. Q. Is our group able to split up as we like?
A. Yes. You can even play in completely different instances and then meet up with your group somewhere down the line. And no, you cannot cheat the mission by leaving one man behind. Everyone in the group who wants to complete the mission must complete the mission.
7. Q. How many people can be around the stations at the same time?
A. The on-paper limit right now is a hundred or so. When more people try to enter a station, a duplicate of that station will be created and those people will be funneled into that duplicate. Of course, their groups will always be maintained, first and foremost. So, when a group of 10 tries to enter a station with 95 people in it, the whole group will be transferred to a duplicate of that station. This entire process will be completely transparent to the end user.

We're planning the equivalent of housing and guild halls and storage, but those things may come after launch. They're not necessities, but we really want them in. Thus, if we finish in time and can implement it all for lunch, cool beans! If not, we'll get to it in good time.

1. We are planning to allow an online to offline transfer. It works even now, too.
2. By arena, I mean PVP is held in designated areas. You cannot simply wander about the game world killing other people. Though that would be pretty impossible anyway considering you'd have to first party with the people you wanted to kill in order to be in an instance with them. We're also considering limiting PVP to specific servers.
3. PVP is still in development and so exact functionality has not yet been finalized. We have a few ideas on how we're going to handle it, but it'd be premature for me to speak about them.
4. [about loot in MP] Right now they're first come, first serve. If you click on an item first, you get it. We are working on several other solutions, of course. But that's just the way it goes now.
5. Peter Hu has said that we have no international lockouts planned, so you should be able to play with your buddies, wherever they live.
6. We also want to have the equivalent of gamer profiles, sort of like Xbox Live. So, if you're in the game, you can see other people's profiles just as easily as you could online. These profiles would contain stats on your characters, achievements, etcetera. The 'omnipedia' would be bound to your profile, so like Metroid or Serious Sam or whatever, you'd only ever see in your own profile that which you've accessed or killed or met in-game. But, you could conceivably look at someone else's and see all that they've done and slaughtered.
